Health and vaccination records are provided at pickup or delivery.

Health Status When Your Puppy Goes Home

Your puppy is guaranteed to be in good health on the day of pickup or delivery, to the best of our knowledge.

New Puppy Veterinary Exam Requirement

A veterinary exam must be completed by a licensed veterinarian within 72 hours (3 days) of pickup or delivery to keep this guarantee valid (excluding days the clinic is closed).

If your veterinarian identifies a serious health concern during that exam:

  • Contact us immediately
  • Provide written documentation from the veterinarian, including diagnosis and any test results

Parasites, Minor Illness, and Treatable Conditions

Puppies can experience stress from travel and adjustment, and some may require routine treatment after going home. This Health Guarantee does not cover routine, minor, or commonly treatable conditions, including but not limited to:

  • Worms or routine parasite treatment
  • Giardia/coccidia
  • Fleas or ticks
  • Mild skin irritation
  • Ear infections
  • Stress-related digestive upset
  • Routine medications, fecal testing, or probiotic support

Congenital / Genetic Health Coverage

This guarantee covers life-threatening congenital or hereditary conditions diagnosed by a licensed veterinarian within the time period stated in your purchase agreement.

To be eligible for coverage:

  • The condition must be confirmed with appropriate veterinary documentation
  • Written records must be provided to us promptly after diagnosis

Not covered under congenital/genetic coverage:

  • Non-life-threatening conditions
  • Normal breed traits or cosmetic issues
  • Problems caused by injury, accidents, negligence, obesity, poor diet, or environmental exposure
  • Illness related to missed vaccines, missed prevention, or failure to follow veterinary care recommendations

What This Guarantee Does Not Cover

Coverage does not include:

  • Routine wellness care (vaccines/boosters, prevention medications, fecal tests)
  • Spay/neuter costs
  • Veterinary bills unless agreed to in writing
  • Transportation or travel expenses
  • Boarding, time off work, or other related costs
  • Issues caused by diet changes, stress, or preventable exposure after transfer
  • Injuries, accidents, poisoning, or foreign object ingestion

Steps to Take If a Serious Issue Occurs

If a serious health concern arises:

  1. Seek veterinary care right away
  2. Contact us as soon as possible with details
  3. Provide records that include:
    • Diagnosis
    • Test results (if available)
    • Treatment plan and prognosis

A second veterinary opinion may be requested before finalizing any guarantee resolution.

Resolution Options (If Coverage Applies)

If a covered condition is confirmed, one of the following options will be offered, based on the terms in your purchase agreement:

  • Replacement puppy (when available), or
  • Refund of the purchase price (purchase price only; deposits and transport fees are typically excluded unless stated otherwise), or
  • Another written agreement that both parties approve

Return Process (If Required)

Return arrangements must be agreed to in writing before transport is scheduled. Safe return transport remains the buyer’s responsibility unless otherwise agreed.

Emergency care should never be delayed; major non-emergency procedures should not be performed without notifying us first, since it can affect guarantee options.

Ongoing Care Requirements

To support long-term health, the buyer agrees to:

  • Provide appropriate housing, nutrition, and supervision
  • Maintain age-appropriate vaccinations and boosters
  • Follow veterinarian guidance for parasite prevention suitable for your area
  • Keep microchip registration current
